Pay Per Click Marketing
Posted by Angela Werner in Pay-Per-Click Marketing on August 20th, 2010
Even though there are many new methods of online marketing, there are still many marketers who like to use the tradition route of PPC or Pay-Per-Click marketing. You can’t discount the fact that this method is still more effective than ever. How many people around the world use search engines? These are the people your PPC ads will appear to.
However, because PPC marketing involves money, you need to be very careful when it comes to making your decisions. To help you, here are some tips:
Opt for niche Pay-Per-Click sites.
Sure, Google Adwords and Yahoo’s Overture are two of the best PPC websites you can choose for a number of reasons. They’re huge, you can get excellent customer support, they have very high traffic and they may provide you with high ROIs.
However these sites also have one problem: competition. There are thousands of different PPC marketers who belong to these two websites, so unless you have a very large budget for your ads and you can create powerful landing pages, you may never be clicked on by your target market.
Hence, make time for niche PPC sites. These are pretty small with traffic which could only be in the thousands, but competition is also somewhat low. On these sites, such as Facebook, it’s easier for you to be at par with your competitors. Moreover, since it’s already niche, traffic is mostly targeted. A lot of businesspersons have actually obtained better ROI from advertising on these websites.
Focus on Landing Pages
What is a landing page? When a search engine user clicks your ad, they are directed to a new page. This does not have to be the homepage to your website. In fact it will be more productive if you direct them to a page that will convert them from a user to a subscriber of your newsletter or even a new customer for your business. A landing page is also known as a lead generation page.
Creating a dynamic landing page, therefore, is crucial for the success of your PPC marketing. Ad2Action.com is in the business of creating the most effective and easy-to-customize graphics and templates for landing pages which accomplish the conversion goals above. You can also create multiple landing pages and test them against each other to determine which page obtain the highest number of click-through rates.
Choose your keywords well.
This is actually one of the most frequently repeated tips you’ll get with PPC marketing, yet surprisingly, it’s also one of the most often ignored.
Q: Why are keywords so important in PPC? A: The appearance of your ads will depend on the keywords you’ve picked. They should match those words entered into search engines by users looking for information. So if you’re selling Mac computers, your ads will appear only if users will look for “Mac computers for sale” or “where to buy Mac computers.”
There are 2 different types of keywords that can be chosen: general or targeted. Of those two, you should place more emphasis on the niche-targeted keywords. These are words/or phrases that can be commonly utilized by your target customers. Using the example of selling Macs: If you are selling used Mac computers, you don’t just select “Mac computers for sale” but you would use “second hand [or used] Mac computers for sale.

Why You Should Reduce Your Pay Per Click Spend And Invest More In SEO And Website Optimisation.

I thought I would go with something that may seem quite controversial to a number of you, with this being the first entry for my new site . I am talking with business owners who are very frustrated with Pay per click advertising every day. Concerned at the cost, unsure of the result it delivers and having no idea as to what to do next with their online presence.
The answer in my opinion is easy but let me cover a few points first:
The results from our Pay per Click marketing has been declining for some time however the cost to run our campaigns has almost doubled. So over the course of the last few weeks I have been doing a great deal of research into Pay per Click advertising and whether we should continue using it in a number of our businesses. What is the best method to deliver us the best return for our investment.
In addition to researching Pay per Click we have been actively focusing on Search Engine Optimisation, using our own internet marketing techniques to drive and improve the positioning of our own websites. The results have been quite exciting in that we have see our sites improve their front page positions by over 3 spots. Now this may not seem much but when you review the impact this has on website activity and click throughs you will be surprised.
Around 50% of the people searching for your business or service will go to your site if you hold the First position in the major search engines .
* Position 1, approx 50% * Position 2, is less somewhere between 12% and 19%, * Position 3, between 11% and 18%, * Position 4, between 7% and 15% * Position 5-9, between 2% and 4% * Position 10, approx 3%
So let’s compare that with the clicks or traffic that Pay per Click advertisements attract:
* Sponsored ads at the top of the search page attract between 2% and 4% of Clicks * Sponsored ads on the right hand side of the search page attract between 1% and 2% of Clicks
The numbers tell an interesting story. A number one ranked website will attract over 25 times the amount of traffic or viewings or clicks that a Pay per Click advertisement will. So if you are spending $1000 a month on PPC and that generates 100 click throughs to your site, a website that ranks number 1 will get over 2500 viewings. It is pretty clear where you should be investing your money - Organic Search Engine Optimisation!
No some of you may disagree with me and that is fine. However if you are a business owner who is spending large amounts of money on Pay per Click advertising, and some of you are then it may be a good time to re-evaluate. Look at investing some of your funds into Optimising your website more effectively.

Laser Focus On Your Target Audience With PPC Advertising
Posted by Aya Wilkinson in Google Adsense on August 13th, 2010
fline advertising is growing by 7% per year, while internet advertising is speeding ahead with a 32% annual growth rate. Traditional media is losing its market share as companies increasingly move their ads to the online media, specifically in the paid search arena. Some time ago, Ford Motor Company moved 10% of its budget away from radio/TV to web advertising.
Advertising in online media has some definite advantages over offline media in terms of cost, reach, interactivity, targeting the right markets and measuring responses. This is why internet advertising is now becoming hot property for marketers! Of all advertising (telemarketing, magazine advertising, newspapers, radio, TV, banner ads, email marketing, etc.), PPC advertising provides the most qualified leads and is proven to have the highest sales conversion rate. This is because, unlike other forms of advertising, your ad is only displayed when your prospective customer is searching for your products or services. This is why nearly 40% of all online advertisements are now pay per click campaigns.
The trend of advertisements within the online medium is fast changing too. While search engine optimisation is becoming vital for making your website emerge above competition, pay per click advertising is providing a very cost effective means to reach your target audience.
According to The Kelsey Group and ConStat, Inc, small-business PPC advertisers currently allocate on average 23% of their total advertising budget to PPC activities. Of these, 54% expect to increase their PPC spending the next year. Paid search has undoubtedly become the hottest means of online advertising.
What is a PPC Ad
Pay per click campaigns (PPC) are defined as the guaranteed placement of a small “ad” on the search results page for a specific keyword or keywords. Your PPC ads are displayed when a user searches for your services/products. This means PPC ads are targeting those customers who are actively seeking your product/services.
No matter what your budget is, you only need to pay for the customers who click your link. PPC campaigns are suitable for all types of businesses.
Major PPC campaigns
There are two major pay per click campaigns: Google AdWords, owned by Google and Yahoo! Search Marketing, which is Yahoo’s PPC service.
Pay per click advertising is growing at a very fast pace. According to Forbes, by 2008, companies will spend $8 billion a year on PPC advertising. As a result, PPC is going to be more expensive and competitive in the future, which means campaigns will have to be even more professionally managed to ensure the best return on investment.
Advantages of PPC advertising over other ad media
Speed: PPC reaches its target market at a fast rate as compared to other online and offline advertisements. You can have an ad up and running in less than an hour.
Sales Lead: Pay Per Click advertising generates more qualified leads as compared to other advertising media, as it targets customers who are actively seeking out your products/services.
Track the lead conversion: You can track the lead conversion of a PPC campaign very easily.
Cost: PPC is a cost effective means of reaching global customers, much cheaper than traditional media, which is usually limited to the immediate audience within its reach (be it TV, radio or print). Only web marketing can give you global reach at such a cost effective rate.

What’s The Deal With With PPC-Coach? Does It Work Or Not? Information
Posted by Richard Morrisson in Google Adsense on August 12th, 2010
Pay Per Click marketing (PPC) is an extremely lucrative market to get into and there are many PPC marketers out there that are making millions of dollars a year with it. However, learning PPC can be quite a daunting task, especially for newbies. If you don’t know what you’re doing, you can lose a boatload of money in a short period of time. This is where PPC Coach comes in. PPC-Coach is a monthly subscription program that teaches you all the ins-and-outs of PPC. From keyword research, to landing page creation, you’ll be guided step by step by PPC coach and his many friends.
PPC Coach is a monthly subscription service. For $50 a month you’ll get access to the PPC-Coach membership site and one new method each month. When you first signup, you’ll get access to the Month 1 method. The method described will also include the exact merchant offer to use, although you’ll want to choose your own to avoid saturation.
As of now, there are almost 1500 members, and more than 50k posts in the PPC Coach forums. There are lots of informative posts being posted every day on the forum. PPC coach himself is always online answering questions, along with Coach v2.0. You’ll also find lots of great posts from members like SteveL and Harry1970 who are regulars and are quite the PPC marketers themselves. I think the forums are probably the most valuable part of the PPC Coach membership.
Want to see if your landing page is good enough? Just ask and someone will offer their constructive critique. Cant figure out why you’ve been Google slapped? Well, you’re not the only one and you can find helpful advice on how to avoid this dreaded occurrence.
Another great learning tool that PPC Coach offers, are the videos. They cover a wide variety of topics and PPC Coach narrates each one. Whats great about the videos is that PPC Coach uses a variety of real life examples to explain the concepts hes teaching. If you’re someone that learns better by seeing, you’ll definitely want to make sure to watch each of them. The videos cover everything from doing keyword research and creating landing pages, to specific tutorials on various tools.
The tools are another reason why PPC Coach is so valuable. Landing Site Generator is a php script that allows you to create landing pages for your campaigns almost automatically. All you need to do is tweak a few variables in the script and your landing page is ready to go. This is a really good way to get started with the Month 1 method.
PPC Coach tracker is an invaluable tool for tracking all your campaigns. You’ll need to install this script on your own site. Among other things, it allows you to figure out which keywords are converting for you so you can squeeze the most money out of your campaigns. There are other tools as well, but the last one I wanted to highlight is the Content Network Generator tool. This tool is great as it allows you to spit out keywords and adgroups and import them into AdWords super quickly. It really will save you a ton of time.
