How To Fix a Google Adword Slap
Posted by Eileen Loveman in Link Building on March 11th, 2010
Have you ever done an adwords search on Google to search for traffic to your website, only to find your campaign has been slapped? You can modify the ad, change the landing page and yet it still won’t run. You’re bound to have questions and concerns. What happens if they’ve dinged your main keywords, which are related to your brand? The generic keywords may be okay, and the traffic is still moving, but you want to step it up? Are you better off scraping the whole thing and starting over?
As frustrating as it is, you may have to scrap the domain and just start over. You can spend countless hours and lots of money trying to revamp a domain, adding additional content and article, but the truth is you will never revive it. It is DOA.
What you can do is set up your landing page on a new domain. Be specific and choose a very select keyword rich domain. Look at the heaviest volume at key words and adjust your website with those keywords in them.
Another thing you can do is to write more content to add to your new domain. Create about six more paragraphs and add them to below your main fold landing area. This will improve the conversion process immensely, as well as improve your content under the quality guidelines.
Wordpress is a partner to Google, so install a blog to your domain as well. Its simple to do and takes about 30 minutes to install. It will improve the quality of your site and with fresh content added periodically keeps it current, fresh and trendy.
Lastly, upload your new campaign with Adwords Editor. This will boost your quality scores higher by 2-3 points as opposed to the keyword tool or a manual upload. What happens after that is unpredictable, but at least you’ll start off with a slight advantage.

How Google Adwords Can Help You To Get Targeted Leads
Posted by Ed Hodgson in Traffic Generation on January 12th, 2010
So youve just started out on the internet with you new product or service. You have your website up and running, your product or service and a means to take payment. So all you need now is customers or clients. Getting you product or service noticed online can seem a daunting prospect for the fledgling marketer. By using Google Adwords, the inexperienced marketer can get their message out quickly.
This is not the only way of generating traffic to your site and has its associated costs - as do all methods of attracting leads.
This will either involve a cost financially, or a cost to your personal time.
However, if you have limited start up funds and are working to a tight budget, you may have no option but to invest your time in free advertising methods, such as social media groups, free ads and classifieds, blogging, article marketing, YouTube, or press releases.
All that being said, by paying for your marketing you will ensure the quickest results, in terms of traffic to your site.
If you want targeted traffic visiting your website, almost instantly, then paid advertising like Google Adwords is worth investigating.
Targeted traffic ensures that you are attracting the right people to your website. That is to say that the keywords you use for your ad are related to your product or service. This avoids you wasting your advertising budget by having your ads appear in unrelated searches.
There is no point in marketing to an audience who is not interested or not searching for what you have to offer.
The most important thing to keep in mind when using Google Adwords as an advertising method is that you do need to know what you are doing. It is all too easy to jump in as a newbie, feet first, and assume that you will be advertising effectively and not wasting your money. I guarantee, you very quickly will be.
Work with someone who is already knowledgable in Google Adwords. Either purchase a guide to using this method effectively, or work with someone personally to avoid the many pitfalls.
In summary, Google Adwords can be a very effective method of advertising quickly to a targeted market but always keep in mind that it is easy to waste a lot of money if you dont educate yourself first.

Free Pay Per Click Tools That You Will Love
PPC marketing can be a challenging way to make a living, but the right pay per click tool or software can save you a lot of time and money. There are ppc spy tools which let you keep tabs on advertisers in your niche, keyword tools that can help you generate thousands of keywords, and campaign builders which can help you get up and running in no time. Why do things yourself, when using these pay per click tools make it so you don’t have to?
There are numerous helpful tools out there, but which ones should you try? I’ve personally bought and tried many different tools with mixed results. Below is an overview of three of the ones I use the most.
The ad spy tool I like a lot is called Traffic Travis. Not only is it a great pay per click software, it is also useful for SEO and completely free. With the PPC Analysis module, the software will track your desired keywords on Adwords to see what ads are showing. After collecting 2 or more weeks of data, you will be able to pinpoint successful competitors in your area and copy them.
A keyword tool I use a lot is called Keyword Expander. This is a free web based tool that enables you to combine keywords together to create an even bigger list of keywords. If you run campaigns on the content network, you know how useful something like this is. Together with the Google Adwords Keyword Tool you can create large keyword lists in minutes.
Getting your ppc campaigns uploaded can be a pain. This is where a tool like PPC Campaign Wizard comes in. Using this, I can input all my ppc campaign setup info like keywords and ad copy and the tool will generate what I need to upload it into Adcenter or Adwords. This is another free pay per click tool that mimics the functionality of more expensive pay per click software.
Each of these free pay per click tools will save you time with creating profitable PPC campaigns. Now you can launch more ppc campaigns, and hopefully increase your profits. If you are looking to becoming a PPC marketer, then give each of these tools a shot.
Tired of expensive pay per click software? Then make sure to give these free pay per click tools a try.
